November 2026 — state pride & lights
Kannada Rajyotsava (1 Nov) celebrates state formation with cultural programmes across Karnataka. Within a week, Deepavali arrives: Naraka Chaturdashi (8 Nov) and Balipadyami (10 Nov) on our table. Lamp lighting, oil baths, Lakshmi puja, and family visits define the fortnight.

Deepavali dates (8 & 10 November)
Naraka Chaturdashi morning customs and Balipadyami greetings both matter in many Kannada homes. Follow city firecracker rules; protect pets from noise. Sweets and lamps carry the festival even when crackers are limited.
